I played for over an hour, saved the game and it will not load the save. I have tried continue, I have tried Load. Continue takes me to a black screen with a mouse cursor, I hear music but nothing else happens.

Load takes me to a load screen, I select the save and try pressing the Load button but nothing happens at all.

Please help :) I enjoy the gameplay but I have to start over every time I play.

Really sorry to hear that Soltan. While some people have been able to play the most updated version, with just some bugs, I know a lot of folks have still been have game breaking, or at least frustrating and annoying bugs that that take the fun away away from playing..enough so, that they have put the game aside (just read through the Snowbird forum threads). You probably don't want to hear this, but I would suggest downloading the current GOG installer, and DO NOT allow the game to update, just play the the 1.1.3 version as is. Keep your DLC aside, and wait till GOG has a new updated installer available (hopefully sometime soon) and enjoy the game playing the 1.1.3 version. I have been playing it for months, and other then a freeze-up once in a while, and not very often at that, I have been enjoying it immensely. While this might be a bit disappointing advice, at least you'll most likely be able to play the game, and for the most part, you really aren't missing all that much in the updates and DLC, but the bugs ;-).

Sadly the only version one can download (I just bought it last night) is the 1.4.2 version. This sucks, the game is a lot of fun.... hopefully they get it fixed soon!

Oh well, back to Eador Genesis then....I know it is mostly the same, but the new one is so pretty :)

Where did you install the game to, was it C:\Program Files? If so, uninstall and then install it into the C: drive (for example C:\GOG Games\Eador). Hopefully that will fix the saving problem.

It is in C:\GOG...this is the only gog game I have ever had an issue with... I see complaints on Snowbird site too. If it would just save my progress that would be nice. I hesitate putting time in it now as it never reloads where I left off, the closest I get is a black screen with a mouse cursor

Genesis has proven itself time and again, but when something a little younger and flashier comes along waving a pretty but in your face all your brains go away and you hop on it.

Yes, I love Genesis and I am really liking the changes in MTBW especially the graphics. I will just play Genesis and wait :) I did do a support ticket so maybe that will raise the issue.

Hm, but now there is only one exe where before there were four (german, polish, russian exes are missing). What's up?

I'm having the same problem. I can load or continue. No help at the official forums either.
Also every time I launch the game it says it's out dated and tries to download the 1.4.3 patch yet is still 1.4.2 when the game is launched.

I did turn in a support ticket and sent my pc dxdiag info as well. Hopefully they have an easy fix when they get back to work after the weekend, I will surely post if I get this working. The game is great and I want to play!!
