I almost died of laugh and spasms when I tried playing a strong, but extremely stupid "Ugh... Errr" (Ogre). I took some time (and more laugh) to decipher the journal notes...
This game is wonderful!!! More intelligent than most of it's kind!!!
ah yes, I like the simpleton approach :) very impressive.
I found i'd get a bit agitated when people would try and swindle you out of your hard earned cash, just cause your a little slow.... Then you'd crush them like a bug with your big ol' ogre fists and things are all good again :D
You can also make yourself an idiot by drinking some booze. Every bottle drops your conversation skills and - as in real life - you become an idiot. Just try to get some information from locals after that. :D
Just the taste of booze is missing.. Hmm..
I don't remember if you get some bonuses for strength or somewhere else when you're drunk.

Actually in real life booze improves some conversation skills (of course after too much, it heavily drops)... :D
it depends. If the other person is not drunk than it's always worse;)

Hmm.. You're right with that.
I was thinking more like "a whole lotta booze with boys"-scenario which will cause some little reduction for your conversation (and eyes wide open) skills. What could be happier time than that? I mean in the game, of course! :D
I think it's a little different...when you're slobbering drunk, people are disgusted with you. If you're just mentally slow, people feel pity for you.

At least I get pats on my head when I don't mess up! Wheeeeeeee!
All of Troika's games are funny as hell when you play as a moron.
Temple of Elemental Evil anyone?
"Err....Frag-a-rat, master?"

Fallout games (at least 1&2) also feature conversations exlusive to stupid characters.

It's worth playing through the Fallout's with an intelligence level of 1. Wait until you get to Vault City in #2 ;-) Perhaps I'll try a simpleton, Frankenstein monster on my second play through...

Got to wait until this one 's on GoG... ;-)
I played an idiot savant right up to Caladon, where I ran into trouble with Lillian Misk and could not finish that part of the main quest.
would it be wise to play an idiot your first time through? I started playing today and although the idiot option is hilarious, it seems like the game is dumbed down (no pun intended) and you wont have as many options playing an idiot.

I'd imagine playing an idiot is mainly smash and grab so if that's not your thing or if you'd rather your first time through be a bit more intelligent then I'd probably suggest doing an idiot run on a second or third playthrough. :D
