Hi everyone,

I have a surround system with 3 monitors and i cant play DK2, the game starts and i can see the first 2 videos and the loading screen but when it finishes the screen just go black with two little squares on the top left, in that squares i think i can see a messed up version of the menu but its impossible to select anything, the squares are so small.

I have a gigabyte 680gtx and i tried some of the registry edits and compatibility configs for the exe with no result.

Anyone else with a surround system is having problems?

Thanks for any help.

P.D: I can play the game in an old laptop with win7 too without any problem.

Have you already tried starting the game in "Safe Mode". GOG provides a link in the start menu to do so. Alternatively, go to the game's folder an run it directly (...\Dungeon Keeper 2\DKII_SOFT.EXE).

Yes, i tried them both with the same result, a black screen with two little squares in the top left of the screen.

I think the problem is something related with the surround config but i dont want to disable it just for playing one game, so a workaround would be very nice.

Yes, that's likely. It's a rather rare configuration, so I don't know. They game is bit picky with graphics and it's definitely not built for an ultra widescreen setting. If you don't mind, you could try windowed mode. Here's a how-to:

Point 3. in the linked post describes how to disable hardware acceleration due to registry editing, this alone might be worth a shot, too.
After 7 or 8 different configs and with some ideas taken from that post i was able to run the game only in windowed, in full screen it keeps showing the black window.

In windowed it atleast work and i was able to play for a bit, anyway it stops working sometimes when you init a new level and always when you finish one, i will keep trying to get it working as smooth as possible.

If anyone have more ideas or is having the same issues with a surround system, please, post them here.

Thanks for everything
