I've been playing using the original DK Gold CD with a DOSbox setup I found on Youtube. I've been trying to setup the game to work without using the CD. I've copied all the files from the root of the disc to the path where I installed DK. I believe the problem lies with the KEEPER.CFG file not recognizing the path for the install. Here's what I've tried:

INSTALL_PATH=C:\PROGRAM FILES\GAMES\BULLFROG\DUNGEON KEEPER

INSTALL_PATH="C:\PROGRAM FILES\GAMES\BULLFROG\DUNGEON KEEPER"

INSTALL_PATH=C:\PROGRA~1\GAMES\BULLFROG\DUNGEO~1

INSTALL_PATH="C:\PROGRA~1\GAMES\BULLFROG\DUNGEO~1"

Would someone with the GOG version of the game please tell me what their install path in KEEPER.CFG looks like? If the GOG version uses a completely different way to reference the game files, I'd be interested to know how. Thank you for any (polite!) responses.

Oh also happy birthday Dene Carter. :D

Hi,

I'm playing DK from GOG and my Keeper.cfg looks like this:

INSTALL_PATH=d:\keeper\
INSTALL_TYPE=MAX
LANGUAGE=ENG

The strangest thing is, that drive D: is my DVD-RW drive... I don't know where GOG has such files like the maps.
(EDIT: Ok, I found out where the datas are... )

Usually the game should recognize the install patch written in den keeper.cfg. I played it without the cd and it worked.
