My DK2 game keeps crashing during the second quest. I can't get more than a few minutes into it without it CTDing. I've tried all fixes in the GoG suggestions area, and also this set here: http://www.esotericarticles.com/Dungeon_Keeper_2_Vista.html

It makes no difference, the game crashes exactly as much as it did before.

I have Windows 7 x64 with a single ATI card and 8GB of RAM.

I'm not having that problem. I'm using Win 7 64bit with an AMD Fusion processor.

This sounds a lot like some sort of video card issue. Or at least that's the same set of symptoms that I had with Blood 2 before I ditched nVidia for AMD.

Well, I'm on an AMD card, but I'm not using hardware acceleration.

Im getting random crashs in win7 64 too, level doesnt matter, but its always when i click a button of some type. Im on intel 2500K CPU.. to bad.. I had hoped to play this, but i see others are having issues too, i see a few random posts in other boards (strange to see new posts in old DK2 threads). I will be watching intently for some solutions.

Have you tried lowering resolution to 800x600? Someone posted this in another thread and it really seems to improve things...

That's a good point and not something that I had considered. The game is running fine for me at 1024x768. My total monitor is 1366x768 on that particular machine and it's basically letter boxed.

If you look through the link I gave, I did EVERY step in it, including dropping the resolution down to 640x480. That didn't solve it for me.

Same problem here. Updated to patch 1.8 hoping that would help but still getting dumped back to Windows, a corrupted screen or blank screen with no response from the computer. Any of the three. Sometimes I'll get through a game without any problems. Other times I can't get past anywhere from 5 minutes to half an hour. I've tried saving the game but that has caused it to crash sometimes too. I've loved this game for years but this is getting frustrating.
