Dungeon Keeper 1 - resolution reminder - press Alt r to switch between VGA and SVGA
Yes, Alt+R is useful.

Other keys:

Home, End - zoom in and out

Delete, Page Down - rotating camera

Also a small tip: when clicking interface elements in menu, use cursor's left horn to point stuff.
Reminder to GOG: change the DOSBOX configuration so that the game automatically detects 'high res mode'

For people playing it, pressing Alt+R will lag the game a lot because GOG configured the cycles too low with their emulation. You need to Press Ctrl+F12 about 10-15 times to get the game to run smoothly.

The best alternative is to just use KeeperFX, it's free and accepts the GOG version of DK1 as a legal version to own.

EDIT: After some investigation, DK1 will automatically go into 'High res mode' on first startup when it detects it's being played on at least a Pentium Pro with 16MB of ram.

DOSBOX emulates up to a Pentium 1, so it will not automatically go into high-res mode with any dosbox configuration. Alternatives are:

1) Use Dosbox-x instead with a Pentium Pro, and cycle it to 120000 cycles, so everything runs fine
2) Bundle the keeper95.exe version instead, with DxWnd, this allows for the direct3d version too.
3) Cycle dosbox to 120000 and bundle the game with a settings.dat in the dungeon keeper save folder that has already set it to high res mode (simply make one by booting the game once, starting a level, pressing alt+r and exiting again)
4) Cycle dosbox to 120000 so that players can press alt+r by themselves without the game lagging a lot, and clearly document this
