Hey, I'm trying to play DK2 on my screen resolution (1680x1050) and when i did the change on the regedit the game looks really good but i'm just way too zoomed in and i can't seem to zoom out. Is there any way of fixing this? I would really love to play this game in a good resolution. Thanks

Try setting the game speed and scroll speed to the minimums (Main menu => Options => Control Options).

I'll try it, thanks, but why would that impact screen res?

I think DeMignon misread your question.

HOME, END, CTRL+UP and CTRL+DOWN should all zoom in and out. I use a resolution of 1280 x 800 and do not experience any problems. I'm assuming you have tried this?

Actually I did a bit ;-) I thought the problem was, that it zooms in and out too fast, what sometimes happens on certain systems.

That's true. Although the game seems to run very fast for me, zooming doesn't seem to be particularly effected. I guess it's less of an issue because being fully zoomed out makes it easier to micromanage your dungeon.

It didn't work, I've tried some other resolutions and those crashed the game, 1680x1050 looks great, its just too zoomed in. I've tried zoom in and out and that's the max i can get of zoom out.

edit: image is bad quality cus i had to reduce size due to file restriction on these forums...

There is a hard coded zoom limit in the game which can only be changed by patching the main executable.

Download this package and use the patch for version 1.7

It should successfully unlock the zoom feature for the GOG version. Remember to copy both the standard DKII.exe and the GOG graphics patched DKII-DX.exe too.

Thanks, solved my problem!
Hey guys. Is the patch originally linked by devilhood still in circulation? The link is dead and I have a similar issue as the op. Thanks up front, yours truly, threadnecro.
