Hello Community,

i played Dungeon Keeper II for a few months now and i experienced a bug which is really annoying.

I tried both, singleplayer and multiplayer, but at some point of the game, my hatcheries stop producing chickens. This means, that none of my hatcheries produces anymore, even those, that i clamed from other keepers.

I think i don't have to tell you how annoying it is, when you spend 3 hours on a multiplayer game with a friend and you have to stop, because your creatures aren't fed anymore.

Does anyone knows a trick to fix this?

Thanks for your help!

Greetings, styx

If you're asking about DK1, then it is really off-topic..

Anyway, in short - in DK1 this is caused by 'thing' limit. Solution depends on what are the 'things' which are taking up most slots. Example:
https://keeperklan.com/threads/5095-Keepers-and-Thing-limit

In DK2, I don't think there are any static limits of 'things' - more memory is allocated when there's a need for it. So in DK2 the reason of such bug is most likely different (ie. one of config options was overwritten within the game memory).
HEy guys
I remember long time ago, years ago, me having the same hatchery-chickens bug in DK2 - the disappearing chickens! LOL But I don't have this bug anymore and I don't have a clue what it was caused by. I just remember the more hatcheries / the bigger size of the hatcheries, the fewer chikens were being produced and my army of creatures got angry and leaves the dungeons. I "fixed" that by editing the map and incerasing the chickens growth rate of the hatchery.

Just another nasty bug in this game.

I don't have DK2 currently on my disk, but as far I remember it was somewhere in DK2 Map Editor - in Hatchery Room properties or it was one of Glabal Variables.
