I just wanted to report that multiplayer using dosbox's IPX tunneling service works well. I had a very playable fun round with a buddy (and lost badly). There was hardly any lag at all while playing, the only issue seems to be with the in-game chat, keystrokes aren't registered correctly or they are doubled, which makes chatting pretty annoying.

Anyone have any ideas about that?
I'm not sure if I get it, is it possible to play online games through the internet, or did you play with your buddy on a LAN?

Sorry I guess I should have explained better. Yes it's over the internet. See the following for details.

It's nice to know that old games like these still can be played in multi. In fact, I think it's probably a hell of a lot easier to do now than it was back then.

Anyway, to the question at hand, why not use something like Skype or TeamSpeak? That should be an easy enough workaround. Text chat is so yesterday. =P
