I installed DK1 on ubuntu and it's running too fast. I've seen post that suggest editing dosboxdk.conf but that file isn't anywhere in the dk folder. Are we supposed to copy it there, and then edit it? And which dk folder, there are a few of them?

I believe the file is named dosboxDK.conf, not dosboxdk.conf. Users on case-insensitive filesystems sometimes misstate the capitalization of their files. You should probably use -iname with find when searching for such files. I see dosboxDK.conf (among other files) in my Dungeon Keeper installation directory. It is the same directory in which KEEPER.EXE and DEEPER.EXE are found.

I went into the folder with keeper.exe: no dosboxDK.conf there. For some reason the install didn't create it

After fiddling around with permissions, I just copied dosbox-0.74.conf in there, and then renamed it. I guess I should be able to make changes to it to slow down the mouse speed now.
