So I installed DK2 on my new windows 8 installation and unfortunately starting the game results in an immediate freeze. The bottom left hand side of the screen shows the three bullfrog spikes about to fly into the screen, but that's as far as it gets. no movement and eventually I have to bring up the task manager to end the program. upon bringing up the task manager there is a split second of sound before the game closes.

I have tried all resolution variations (640x480 as suggested too) as well as a number of other registry settings (removing intro video, etc) but none seem to work and I experience the same result.

Is anybody else experiencing the same problem and does anyone have a workable solution or know if a patch is in the works from GOG?

System specs:
windows 8 pro x64
Intel I7-920
12GB ram
2x GTX460 in sli
Nvidia 310.70 drivers

It freezes for me that same place too but alt-tabbing out and then back in solves it for me.

Awesome, thank you so much... problem solved :)
Also I found that setting it to windows 7 compatible mode fixes this, now just need to figure why it runs so slow in game does not seem to do it on my laptop
yes, has anyone figured out the lag when running DK2 in windows 8? tried quite a few things.
