Where the hell is the savegame button?

I'm love to be a save scumming bastard from time to time. Is there no option to save the game myself, do I really need to look for some preference files in myapp documents whatever folder?

Yeah you can't save scum, unfortunately. There is a button that lets you go back to the previous turn if you screw up, however.

Where is said button thou has spoken of?
Press ESC, then click on Into The Past. I just checked, however, and it seems like this is disabled in Campaign?

Maybe someone more experienced with this game can shed some light on that feature, since I only tried using it once.
It's disabled only in the first mission. After that, you can use it to go back to the end of the previous turn, although it costs you glory (I don't know what's the significance of glory in the game).

You can also go back to the Astral screen (before the mission), which costs you energy income.
Ah I see. Thanks for clarifying :)
It's an "interesting" subject, to lose "glory" for time travelling.

But I have decided that I will glady take the most "glorious" route and copy my savegame folder without losing any glory on time travelling.
When you exit the game you will save. But thats the only time I've found. I just got this.
OK, can someone please remind me again how this folder saving works in Eador Genesis? I mean, should I quit the game before I make a backup of the Save folder, or should I be in-game?

It's been a very long time since I played EG. Please help?!
Quit the game first, you can do it while in game but that can cause crashes, at least it did for me.
I believe that it is: 1, Exit to main menu. 2, Copy save folder. 3, reenter game.

This is the correct way because if you do not exit first it will know and still count as a revision.

Revision is what happens when you use the go back one turn thing.

You can do that but sometimes it causes the game to crash. At least it did for me.

Many thanks to all who answered.

You're nice folks, y'all :D
Really, there is no Save Game function??!!!!!! This is the first game ever without this feature. How strange!
