I'll take this opportunity to say emphatically, how grateful one can be. Thank you for all your generosity over the yrs.

I wanted to install Fallout Tactics using the offline installers + take down the manual and on two separate rigs, it failed.

Both the installer and the manual just flat failed. I've never seen so quick a denial, but thought you should know as this give-away was through Amazon Prime availability access.

Oh - I also verified that other game installers had no problems. I quickly downloaded Fallout2 and something else unrelated to the series - and all is fine on this end.

Just shining a light is all. Thank you again.

Slowly moving my installs away from Galaxy as they seem to use some hidden form of telemitry (sp?) anyway. If I download a games 'off-line' installer and then uninstall from Galaxy, only to reinstall sort of the 'old fashioned' way; when I open the Galaxy Store the next time (my decktop Galaxy) not the web, the game that I "off-line" installed it right there in my Intalled profile or tab or whatever it's called.

All that to say that I must have worked it out, because it's been moved and reinstalled with saves intact etc., so ty for you compassion on the matter - that was charitable inteed. God Bless you.
I've found you don't need Galaxy to play any of the games you download through it. You can just download & then launch them not running Galaxy, it affect a thing.

If I download a game via the website it shows up in Galaxy too when I launch. Doesn't seem to make a different in any way. Pretty sure Galaxy scans the folders you told it to when it launches.

Sometimes i can't get my new purchase to show up in Galaxy if I buy it in the program or the website, so I just download the installers from the website. I've had occasional issues with the installers/extras from Galaxy (I think it's a Galaxy issue) but I've never had an issue downloading from the website.

I also got Fallout:Tactics via Amazon Prime... I didn't have any problem installing it, but for some reason it does not show as "in Library" on GoG. I mean it does literally show up in my library, but most games advertised on the GoG site show an "in Library" tag if you already own it - for some reason this one does not. This is the only game I own that does not show that tag.

Something weird going on with this one.

This is an old bug from what I know. The amazon free games are considered as another version of the game even though its the same game but the store does not see it that way.. If you try to buy it again you will get a warning you own it (but if you try to buy more than one game you own you will get the warning just for the one on top of the list)
