It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Latest version:

Mac OS X - 1.2 (build 512)
Windows - 3.6.0

Both Downloaders now have the option of sending Error Reports directly to us (this can be found in app under Settings).

Not sure if this is a feature request or a bug report but, though I am able to manually resize the downloader window as desired by dragging the sides or corners, I cannot drag the entire window to one side of the screen to have it fill exactly half the screen like I can with other windows (such as Firefox). If this is not possible or desired, then, as someone else already mentioned, having the window remember previous placement and/or size would be nice.

On a separate issue, I am having intermittent trouble adding downloads to the queue from my account page on the website. Sometimes it works flawlessly and silently (except for the little popup from the downloader telling me what I added) but other times I get a notice in Firefox telling me that the page is trying to redirect me to gogdownloader://whateverI'mtryingtodownload and asks if I want to allow it. I've tried unticking the warn me when pages want to redirect option in Firefox and I've allowed everything I can think of in both NoScript and RequestPolicy but nothing seems to work. As I said, the problem is intermittent which is really confusing, why it works sometimes and not others is beyond me. Anyone got any ideas?

I'm running downloader version 3.0.52.0 (stable), Windows 7 Pro (64 bit, English), Firefox 15.0.1 with NoScript (2.5.7rc5) and RequestPolicy (0.5.27) and have whitelisted gog.com (in both) and gog.com to gogdownloader:// (in RequestPolicy).
one more vote for the speed limit feature.
I can't browse websites when the full speed is used to download files.
When will 3.1 officially release? Is it almost done? I hate having to switch my password to something without special characters every time i want to use the downloader then switching it back when i'm done. It's really inconvenient and annoying.
Does the GOG downloader verify file integrity while/after it finishes downloading?

Yes, it verifies CRCs of file "chunks" during the download

Although we do have a planned update to the Downloader in the coming days, the issue in question isn't really related to the Downloader but to the API itself as far as I can tell. I've just checked with our dev team and It's a known bug and it's definitely on our to-do list. In the meantime - I'm very sorry for this inconvenience :(

Thanks for the replies :). Good luck on sorting out the bug then.
Seems the new GOG downloader simply crashes if it's handed a 404 link.

Deponia and Giana Sisters both have the bonus content download link active but clicking on them crashes the downloader. The 404 error crashes the downloader immediately.

Please post more data, at least which Downloader you're using, Windows or Mac? Which bonus content exactly?

UPDATE: Investigating, we'll post an update in a minute.

I'm using the very latest stable Windows downloader. Version 3.2.7.0 (It just autoupdated)
I clicked on "My Account", "DEPONIA 2: CHAOS ON DEPONIA", "Combined Bonus Content Pack".
The items appeared in the downloader window then the "Error occurred" window appears and it crashes.
Edit: Exactly the same happens with the Giana Sisters extras.

I've git the 3.2.7 (stable) update of the windows downloader and it looks like there might be issues downloading bonus stuff...

Clicking the Divinity 2 'combined bonus content pack' is not adding it to the downloader...

Same with warsaw, redneck rampage, sacrrifce and earthworm jim ...

The installers for the relevant packs are adding...

Nothing in the logs client side about the bonus content either - just installers...

We're working on a server side fix, should be working soon.
Bah, that update you guys just pushed made me lose about 1.5GB of already downloaded game!

I paused the download, and then while it was paused the update dialogue appeared. I couldn't find any way to decline the update or unpause the download so I eventually accepted.

On restarting, the downloader didn't recognise my mostly downloaded game, argh!

Thanks for the quick response :)
The downloader (the latest, stable 3.2.7.0 release) refuses to add any bonus content when I click on it in the browser window. Any idea what could be wrong?

ETA: I tried adding both individual items and the entire pack, but it categorically refuses. The game download links work perfectly, though.

As always, this will be appreciated (from the sticky post above):
1. Downloader version (found under settings)
2. OS version
3. OS language
4. Browser kind and version (this is required only if you're having problems when adding games to the queue from the website)
5. Downloader log contents if possible:
Windows 7/Vista - C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\GOG.com
Windows XP - C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\GOG.com
6. A detailed description of the problem.
