No, you're not removed, it's just SG messing with you. ;) Try to sync your SG account manually. (repeat if necessary)

I had that issue, and posted about it here. Both SteamGifts and Steam have problems right now, and the Sync process is not done correctly. Either you will get a message saying that you need to switch to a public profile (even if yours is already public), or the lists of your groups and wishlist are not saved and will be blank. Just keep trying, eventually it will be saved correctly ;)
