Azrael360: I need to confirm first with liquidsnakehpks, but this shouldn't be a problem. I know what you mean, I'm from Chile and almost everything I buy from the Steam Store is now locked to countries in South America. But that doesn't stop me, I use other stores like Green Man Gaming, GamersGate, Nuuvem, Bundle Stars Store, Humble Bundle Store, and other bundle sites to get Steam games to gift. And since this is now allowed on SteamGifts, in the case you have a region-locked game you should be able to mark its region and the GOG.com Gift Club group while creating your giveaway. There're other members from Turkey too in this group.
liquidsnakehpks should be able to answer this more properly though, and more "official".
EDIT: liquidsnakehpks has no problems with this either and he's not against region-locked giveaways in the group.
Cleidophoros: region locked Gog group giveaways will have so few entries though..
Thats the only downside , but we have no issues with region locked giveaways since sg allows it , just as long as it is shown clearly.
Thank you all for understanding and co-operating with the new rules, we set the difference based on the stats of the members , lets hope in the future we can reduce it further as members close the gap.
AFnord: Honesty, I find the new rules a bit too harsh. As far as I know, I'm well within my "safety limit", but honestly, I don't like to feel forced to give away games, which is what the current rules basically do. While I can understand the need for some anti-leaching measures, I think the current gift difference is too low, at least for higher numbers of games won. Instead I honestly think a ratio system would be better, say 4:1 (you are allowed to win 4 times as many games as you give away) or at least 2 games/year, or something like that. Gifting should mainly be something that you do because you feel like being nice to someone else, not because you have to give away games.
i am sure we can fine tune the difference as we go along right now what we are aiming for is getting all members to a similar stat level rather than skewed one , then we can loosen or tighten up as needed.
