Simply:
I have the off-line installers for Might & Magic V Bundle downloaded and ready to install (ty DRM free thingy)

My question why are there two separate installers? HoMMV + Hammer's of Fate / HoMMV - Tribes of the East.
That is exactly how it's written. Specifically the + and/or the (-) dash.
Perhaps Tribes of the East is standalone?

I was going to install HoMMV + HoF first, then try to add the other on top of... or ya know, just install the Expansion called Tribes of the East with it. IF it *is and expansion. IDK. Or - if it is in addition and needs to be added, should I wait until completion of the first DLC. Which is odd too because according to the Store page (probably on Steam) TotE was published first. With GoG - the installars are numbered with HoF as v2 and TotE v3. I hope that's not too confusing.

Any helps is unbelievably appreciated. Ty.

Edit: So even after GeistSR had answered, I've made this change. I hadn't actually expected an answer too soo, + I came to insert the Heroes of... part, which I'd left out in my haste. Alright then - different forum. Thanks also.

All three are standalone, unless you employ a mod to run the original and HoF campaigns under TotE rules.

But this actually belongs in the Heroes of Might and Magic series discussions.

Ty GeistSR - please pardon my persistence, and being in the wrong place.
Given what you know, and what I've described, How do I install these order-wise? I expressed something similar in the Heroes of ... forum. Just in case, I decided to ask you too - thanks
Hi, here as well.
So it is two games. Plot and chronologocal order are H5(H5+DLC+HoF DLC in one) -> H5TotE.

HoF use alternate exe file and come after H5 (another H5 DLC is Exclusive Special Edition DLC applied to both exe nd make unlocked one ✅ checkbox mark in settings regarding heroes auras).

I did mention in other thread Standalone not technically backward compatible. As i remember not the case realle for H5TotE since there is only map files to be transfered and they are compatible (ofc only TotE 3.1 can launch any older map, better use TotE for skirmish singleplayer)(in MP if you prefer 2.x balance you can use HoFand for 3.x TotE).

For another example i mentioned - Disciples 2 there is minor incompatibilities. Map file from D2 placed to D2ROTE switch one item on the map in any bags/merchants. There is also ldr files for saved heroes that can be transfered and they have minor buggy stats on pre-setup of skirmish map (degrees of maximum possible stats as 300-50 isntead of 200+50 and same).
For some else Standalone Expaneion cases - not H5 or D2 - there is maybe more content possible to tranfer and more bugs possible to happen. Its not really "newest improved" versions. They are separate versions on differ game engine branch.

Look to PCGW articles for this two H5 games technical info and GOGDB too. Ideally for first experience better avoid downloading any alterations. So you need some manual tweaks for widescreen improvments since H5 are 16:10 game and H5TotE are 16:9. Lower a bit resolution and maybe chose 16:10 lower resolution.

Installation order shouldn't matter because they all run as standalones.
Very grateful for all you help. Ty !
