Hello. I have a strange problem with the "where are we" program. Might and Magic 1 worked great with this program. I launched M&M1 through dosbox and then launched "where are we" - the program immediately picked up the game and showed me all the cards, gave me access to the game.
But that doesn't happen with Might and Magic 2!
"where are we" - just does not see the game. I specify all the paths in the settings, but the program gives me a message that the application is not for this operating system =( This is understandable, because M&M 2 works in DOS. But M&M1 worked perfectly.

In the Where Are We options, under the DOSBox tab, uncheck the first two options: "DOSBox memory quick-scan only" and "Warn if game process is re-acquired..."

If it still isn't working, try to adjust the timing setting below those: "Delay before starting the memory scanner..."

Thanks for the advice. I solved this problem by running M&M2 on DosBox v.0.73 and Where Are We works stably.
If I run it on DosBox v.0.74 - Where Are We doesn't work. This is of course strange.

It must have been made specifically for that version then, since that's the one GOG packages with its games. I have run it successfully in 0.74 myself by fiddling with those options. Either way, glad it works.
So far it doesn't look like it works at all; can't find any games, even if I got the damn thing running right at the same time. Useless garbage.Just says DOSBox isn't running when it is.
