As above when I load the game it's zoomed in and to the left of the centre and obscures the menu when I get to the main screen. I do remember there was a fix for this previously but I cannot remember what it was. Does anyone have any ideas?

Go to the .ini file for the game and toggle Directdraw either to 0 or 1. Make sure it's for the one you're running, so either SMAC or SMAX.

Hi, First off thanks for replying the only ini file in the game is just entitled Alpha Centauri there is no ini file for SMAX.

Oh. Well, give it a toggle, and see if it does what we're trying to accomplish.

I tried sadly the original worked perfectly Alien Crossfire didn't change.

We can certainly try a different renderer then, can't we?
