when I launch the witcher enhanced edition on my MacBook Air (M1 chip, 12.0.1), the game simply fails to start, and I get a "problem occurred" message. any ideas on how to fix this? I can upload any log files needed.

It seems that at the time being this port simply do not work on M1 chipset, which is extremely frustrating. What's more annoying is the fact that game is also listed in the Mac App Store, with annotation that it should work on MacBook Pro (which is not true).

It's hard to tell, for now devs didn't addressed this issue at all, there's no update, no mention, nothing. All we can do is wait. Sooner or later they'll have to do something with it, mostly because Apple is going to drop x86 architecture support eventually, in favor of their own silicon.

Figured out a good workaround! Right/CMD click the Witcher app and check "Open with Rosetta". Loading times become abysmal, performance takes a hit, and frame rates can take a moment to stabilize, but I've had no lab/load screen crashes since. :)

At least until they release an official fix, it's something. :) Good hunting!

I filed an actual bug report on CPDR site they told me they were aware of the issue and looking into it. What kills me though is this is a bug in the tutorial level, so it would seem pretty clear to me they never did any QA.
