It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

New update! Version 1.3.4. No real functionality change this time, but I've been testing and fixing compatibility on various GreaseMonkey workalikes.

First off: the script now works on Scriptish, for those of you who prefer that to GreaseMonkey.

Second: I discovered ViolentMonkey, which is basically GreaseMonkey for Opera. With this you can simply use the same GreaseMonkey script from userscripts.org that everyone else is using, which is great because the Opera extension has always lagged behind the others.

Like I did with Chrome in the past, I'm retiring the native Opera extension. Opera users can install ViolentMonkey and never again have to worry about waiting for me to finish porting the changes to Opera. I think this will work out best for everyone, but let me know if you experience any problems with this arrangement.

I'll be testing every release from now on GreaseMonkey, Scriptish, TamperMonkey and ViolentMonkey.

The first post has updated installation instructions.
Posting to test a new feature in development...

edit: it works! Depending on how much you trust announcements on 1 April, here's what you can expect from the next update.

Alright, version 1.3.5 is up with a new feature I've been aiming to add for a while: an inline "quick post" in the forums to allow you to post a new message without needing a popup window. It's fairly simple now but I'll be tweaking and enhancing it in future updates.

Those of you who already have Barefoot Essentials should be getting updates automatically, but if not you can grab version 1.3.5 here.

Quick post didn't seem to work for me. FF 19.0, Win 7x64

OK, so I guess it does work, I just have to click "Post my message" twice...
(Thanks for the update!)

Yes, that's rather awkward. It's because of the way I had the textbox shrink. I'm working on a solution for that.

Not a problem. Thanks again for the update and the work you've put into this.

Thinking about it, why would the textbox shrink? Wouldn't it just post the reply and refresh the page? Or is the shrinkage something that just happens automatically?
I've fixed the problem by making a small change to the CSS rules. The textbox no longer shrinks out of the way if there is text in it.

When you tried just now the textbox's "lost focus" event was handled before the "click" event. It immediately started shrinking, moving the button up. The "click" event was handled, but by that time the button had moved. Anyway, it's not a problem anymore.
Giving 1.3.5.2 a shot.

Seems to work now. Thanks again!

Wow, I thought the quick post was a feature GOG themselves added. It's working perfectly on FF 19.

Thank you, Barefoot_Monkey!!
Ok, quick post works perfectly, but syncing your game collection to GOGWiki don't. :/
