It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

This is just a quick hack, only tested in Firefox and cuts off the bars outside the page contents width, but it does remove the horizontal scroll bars.

.nav_left, .nav_right { display: none; }
#mainNav {
position: relative !important;
left: 0 !important;
padding: 0 !important;
margin-left: auto !important;
margin-right: auto !important;
height: auto !important;
}

Thanks Maighstir, works nicely with Firefox.
For it to work in SWare Iron (don't use 'enters'):

nav_left, .nav_right { display: none;}
#mainNav { position: absolute !important; left: 0 !important; padding: 0 !important; margin-left: auto !important; margin-right: auto !important; height: auto !important;}

The only issue is that the nav-bar is a bit smaller in width than the actual page contents width, but that could have to do with my system.
Version 1.5 is here. This update is mostly improvements to posting, both of both the quick and regular variety. Now forum reply notifications should be triggered by submitting a quick post that quotes another post. Only first quote in a post causes a notification for now. Shortcut keys from quick posts now also work in in the regular new/edit post windows.

There were some other features I wanted for this update, but I have a busy weekend coming up so if I tried to do everything the improved post features would only arrive sometime next week. Features still to come include: automatic currency conversion, quote style changes becoming optional, and hopefully quick replies being able to quote highlighted text.

I hope you all like it. As always, feel free to let me know if you have any problems with this.

Thanks for the update, just got it.
This is also a test to see if you got a notification :-)

No problem :)

Oops - I refreshed this page and saw your reply, which means I probably killed the notification if it was sent. Want to try again?
Sure, here you go :-)

P.S. If you quick-replied to me, I got one.

Testing for science! I'm guessing HypersomniacLive won't be notified for this.

Nope.
I was going to try this with the wiki as a new user, but wiki user registration is limited to admins, it seems.

The GOGWiki was hit by a spambot flood recently, so registrations are currently on hold. You could try sending Ubivis a PM, or wait a bit longer until we add a proper registration method.

Hmm... I wondered why I couldn't create an account with my same user name as here, just installed the greasemonkey script for Firefox, wiki saying my user name is not recognised on GOG as well.

Barefoot_Monkey:
When I post in a thread using "quick post" and I refresh the general discussion page, the thread in which I posted is bumped and its title is white, not grey (meaning that there is a new post, even though that post is mine and I've already seen it). I'm not sure if that happens with every "quick post".

EDIT: For this post, in which I used "quick reply", the thread title was grey.
I also used the simple "quick post" in another couple of threads and their titles were white, so I'm guessing the issue is limited to "quick post", not "quick reply".

Thanks for pointing this out - it's also happing to me but I didn't realize it was "quick post" exclusive :-)

Thanks. I'll try to replicate this and see what I can do about it.
Hmm... I've had that problem occasionally with the GOG forums for as long as I can remember. Ages before I installed BFE.
