Could anyone explain to me WTF is a System Shock 2 Booster Pack and how the hell did I get it without playing anything at all?

Steam randomly sends out booster packs of cards each day. You do have System Shock 2, right? I don't think they do it for games you don't own.

Yeah, I have SS2. Got it in summer sale. If l sell the pack, then my only purchase in this year's summer sale will pay for itself in cards.
Of course, there's a chance of a foil dropping out of those, right?

Each pack has three cards. I think the chances of a foil dropping are very rare, but someone on this forum said they got one (forgot who, though).

I'm not the person that initially said it, but I got my only foil card (Burn - Hotline Miami) from a booster pack during the summer sale. So they can drop them, I'd guess it's the same probability as a normal foil drop.

Sorry for asking a possibly old question, but will having a full set of drops for more than one game increase the chance of getting a booster pack? Booster packs are send to lucky users daily or once every week?

It happens randomly, I've only got one Booster pack so far

To increase your chances of getting a booster pack, you have to increase your steam level. Every 10 levels increase your chances by 20%. So far it seems that every time a badge is made, an elligible user gets a booster pack. So far I've gotten 3, and I seem to have gotten them on Mondays, not sure if it was luck or timing.
