The Witcher Adventure Game uses a launcher for the purposes of auto-updating the game and testing some of the features that will be available in the Galaxy Client. Please read the points below before posting any feedback regarding the launcher. Thank you!

1. Always start (or restart) the Launcher before playing the game. Let the update process finish (wait until status text changes to UP TO DATE), before clicking PLAY button.

2. If the application crashes or you encounter any problem or error, please go to <span class="bold">http://mantis.gog.com</span>, log in with your GOG.com account as usual and create an issue for us there. Please attach any information that will help us resolve the issue faster, such as logs (location where to find them is below), detailed reproduction steps, screenshots, etc.

Logs location:
On Windows Vista or later: C:\ProgramData\GalaxyClient\Logs
On Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\GalaxyClient\Logs
On MacOSX: /Users/Shared/Galaxy/Logs

3. If you encounter any other problem with the application, please post a detailed description, and if possible - method of reproducing it.

Hello.
I've got a problem, with authenticating my account. So step by step:
1. I've added game into my gog account
2. i've installed game and waited for updates ( Right now it's up to date )
3. I've logged in to GOG launcher and started game.
4. When i try to press "Play online" i've got authentication error.
Please advice what can i do ?
Kind regards

EDIT: None of this suggestion helped me:

Use the link on the desktop or the "Launch The Witcher Adventure Game" link in the game folder, instead of running the TheWitcherAdventureGame.exe directly.

Logs was sent :)
I was gifted a beta code, game installed no problem and the tutorial completed ok. It's unable to authenticate with the servers online though. I suspect it did not add exceptions to the Windows firewall (I can't see any) and I block outbound traffic by default though. Going to rummage through the log files myself and see if I can figure it out first.

Nice to see Galaxy is C++ and using chromium BTW.

Update:
I added 3 firewall rules to my Outbound Windows 7 firewall to allow each of the 3 Galaxy*.exe files unrestricted outbound access and now the login dialogue comes up when I launch the game and it does its little update check successfully. Probably should have the Galaxy installation ask the user whether to add Windows Firewall exceptions for itself as anyone running an outbound default-deny firewall setup will be unable to connect with no obvious error/warning appearing to indicate any problem.

Hi,
I think it would be a good idea to have lobby matchmaking. Waiting for players to connect blindly can take a long time. I haven't been able to connect to anyone so far. And I don't even know if it's my problem or even if there are other people online.
Other than that everything seems to function well so far.

We're working on the authentication thingy. Feel free to submit your logs to us, will help a bit.

As for the language, that was an obvious decision for us :).

Should be better over time, we're in the process of inviting more people right now.

I see that... ;o) The game refused to connect me still. While looking in the Galaxy directory about 2 minutes ago I started up the game launcher again and magically 2 new files appeared in the Galaxy dir - GalaxyPeer.dll and GalaxyPeer64.dll ... I restarted the launcher again and voila, I'm now connected. The timestamps on those two files were 9:24am today... 4 minutes ago. Now that's what I call fast service! hehehe

I only wish there was a way to beta test the full blown Galaxy client also.... *cough cough* ... :) Now to try out the game. Oh, I love the music by the way! It reminds me of the music from the original Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon game for some reason. Has that military type beat/thump to it, very nice.
Perhaps a silly question, but could we get some system requirements, please?

I decided to take a risk and continue when it said "Installation complete" rather than "up to date" :P

Waiting in the lobby for someone to start a game. No luck but I could chat to myself by clicking on the brain icon.
The launcher isn't happy unless it and the game are in /Applications, but I always organise my games and launchers in /Applications/Games. The folder location should be flexible.
I can launch the game but I can't log in because i can't launch galaxy.

Galaxy is installed in c:/program files (x86)/galaxyclient but when i execute galaxyclient or galaxyupdater nothing happens and there is no process in the task manager. When i run the galaxyupdater in my temp files folder it says the program was blocked by group policy even though I ran it as administrator and i don't have any antiviruses installed.

The logs just say that it was unable to start the galaxyupdater.

I rebooted my computer, but that didn't seem to help.

EDIT: reinstalling the galaxy client seemed to fix it

Same here. It appears that GOG servers are attempting to do incoming UDP on fresh incoming ports that change randomly each time the multiplayer is launched, which does not work on a computer behind a router without port forwarding, but if this is the case, the ports are random with no discernable pattern. Not going to port forward half my ports to one computer to find out though. :)

Waiting for feedback from GOG/CDPR as to what outbound ports need to be permitted through the firewall (I've determined UDP ports 514, 5001, 6001 so far), and what if any inbound ports need to be forwarded through NAT to the host running the game on the LAN. Hopefully it is a single port or a port that can be configured within Galaxy or the game or windows registry or something.

We're designing the system in a way that should allow you to move games out of /Applications. For the process of the Beta it is not possible.
