Awesome!! I already own DK2 boxed and knowing the issues that this game has on modern hardware, avoided buying it on GoG. But now, I'm totally going to buy it, especially to say thanks. I have a small group of players who all own the game but didn't buy it on GoG and I'm going to talk them into getting it on GoG.

Great job!!!
While it is annoying that I have to change my resolution from 5760x1080 to 1024x768, at least now it finally works and I am absolutely delighted, this patch has made my day!
I seem to be getting a very strange bug. Randomly my mouse will turn very slow and unprecise. Then a few moments later will turn back to normal speed for a few seconds before going slow again.

Have you tried the usual fixes i.e. running the game as administrator? Installing it outside of Program Files?
Guys, multiplayer works like a charm. Using the service called tunngle. Doesnt crash, doesnt lag, so, who is up for some evil vs evil? ;)
Anyone got some screenies of the new resoultions? I would like to see what it looks like in 1920*1080 if possible, been eager to purchase this oldie bot goodie for some time now, but the low res have kept my hands and wallet tied for now, and this sounds about the last thing I need in order to fall in to the GOG trap yet again :D

You should create a specific thread about this in this sub-forum. (Or maybe even in the "main" forum?) I don't own DK2, but if multiplayer really is working, you could probably find a few people to play against. :)

FabMan: Just tested and it works very well, starting up causing a white screen and a delay, but after that all is good. I can enable all the visual goodies now and set the resolution to 1024x768. So great effort, now I should be able to complete the game.
Where is this fix?, do I need to re-download??

Sorry Im stupid I just saw the update, on the downloads, I wish it would just auto update like steam

I have this exact same problem, first time I played when patch came out it worked fine, but now I always get the slow mouse cursor bugg (makes the game unplayable).

Tried both theese solutions without any success.
This bugg only happens during missions/skirmish and is not present while in the main menu.
So I just download the patch, install and run the game normally? I'm not seeing any instructions anywhere so I'm just guessing because I got a crash on pet dungeon #2.

Oh, and enabling Hardware Acceleration gives me huge black tears in the GFX.

Edit: Scratch that, I think I fixed it. (Enable, quit game then run the game again)

Peeto2: for me 1600x1200 works best as highest 4:3 possible on my monitor. for rest, just use 4:3 format highest your monitor let u allow... enjoy

7upMan: Peeto, isn't the menu garbled in that resolution? If so, how do you play DK2 then?
Not really. When I change my desktop resolution from 16:10 1680x1050 to 4:3 1600x1200 than when I start DKII I have a full resolution without any graphical errors or mistakes and it is than in full screen. When I use my standard 16:10 resolution, I have a nice game, but I see this black ribbons in left and right. use 4:3 in your desktop and you should have game without any compromises
I can't seem to get this to work properly. When I start DK2 my resolution seems to be locked at 640x480 even when I start the game proper.

I've got 1024x768 selected in the options menu and even tried changing the resolution in the registry but i'm stuck at 640x480 :(

As far as I can see the 3D hardware is being used as the textures look filtered as compared to software mode (which incidentally I can run at any resolution including 1920x1080)

Any ideas?

AMD 5870
Intel i7 2700K
Windows 7 Pro 64bit
Fantastic. Its been years since I've played this. Installed and sorted on Windows 7 x64.

Well worth the money!
Why not post directions or a troubleshooting guide for installing the HW Acceleration fix? I'm looking in the forum because I want to make sure it works, but it is probably just an hour to write up something.

I also have this same issue, only in game not in menus
