Okay, I tried going about this a little differently, and I got better results. My first template was scaled down to actual size, so I was working small; I scrapped that one and tried working with the template at its original size, and letting the printer scale it down to the appropriate dimensions. I think it came out pretty nice, actually.

I upgraded the ROTT and EWJ covers using the higher-resolution template. They should look a little cleaner now.
